Warm and Soft

Thinsulate ™ polyester insulation is the universal insulating material for general outer- and sports-wear. Fine denier fibres ensure class leading thermal insulation. A mid-loft, 100% polyester with a soft hand and drape, type P creates loftier silhouette with the performance expected from a Thinsulate ™ insulation

Warmth while damp

Retains insulating ability in damp conditions. Highly breathable material allows damp moisture to escape and thereby improving weather comfort. Dries quickly and easily.

Fashionable warmth

Designed expressly to give a loftier look to fashion outer garments. Also for professional clothing and workwear, and sportswear.

Low flammability

Fulfils requirements of class S-c according to DIN54336 and DIN66083. Further, type P contains no harmful materials according to the Forschunginstitut Hohenstein (International Association for Research and Testing in Field of Textile Ecology) Oeko-Tex Standard 100, and has been awarded with the Oeko-Tex mark.

Garment construction

Quilting is not necessary but large panel sizes may need supporting. Spacing up to 30cm allowed. Insulation may be used with any fabric. Fibre migration may occur with rough or coarse fabrics. If in doubt, 3M representative can arrange to have fabric combinations tested.
